About Us
Mark MacDonald
Foundations of the Faith is a nondenominational, Bible-based ministry located in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada headed by Mark MacDonald. An ordained minister with the Christian Ministers Association (CMA), Mark graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in 1987. He has been teaching Bible studies and hosting home church meetings for over three decades, including into China, as well as written four faith-based books:
• “Peter & Me: Delivered From Maximum Insecurity”;
• "Foundations of the Faith", a teaching book based on Hebrews 6:1-2 which has been printed in Mandarin and distributed throughout China;
• “As Christ Loves The Church” concerning God’s plan for marriage;
• "Growing As A Christian: Through Friendship, Discipleship & Small Groups".
Mark also had his own radio program, called Foundations of the Faith. He has taught the Hebrews 6:1-2 Foundations for over 35 years, and the manual for the course is available in English, Mandarin and Spanish. Mark is the former owner of his own business publication company that published five editions throughout British Columbia, current owner of a Media & Public Relations company, and is also a Past President of the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce.
He has also written a book on business: "It Worked For Them, It Will Work For Me: The 8 Secrets Of Small Business I Learned From Successful Friends"
Married to Lise, they have five grown children.
